What is Holistic Healing?

I find that when I use the term 'holistic healer' that some people look down on it based on the misconception of what it actually means!

What comes to mind when you think about holistic healing? Natural medicine? Crystals? Plant medicine? Spiritual healing?

Holistic healing actually 'considers the whole person -- body, mind, spirit, and emotions -- in the quest for optimal health and wellness. According to the holistic medicine philosophy, one can achieve optimal health -- the primary goal of holistic medicine practice -- by gaining proper balance in life.' *WebMD 2019

Rather than encouraging painkillers for pain relief to defeat it temporarily, if a client comes to me and is suffering with a headache/migraine or back pain, for example, I find out everything there is to know about them to identify the source of the problem and use integrative medicine with the aim of removing the problem permanently.

Integrative medicine uses a variety of techniques that is appropriate for the individual based on the evidence that has been identified during the consultation. By combining Western and Eastern therapies for all of my treatments, the results are phenomenal.

Western medicine is of course groundbreaking and needed however, sometimes the issue cannot and should not be fixed with a pill!

Please get in touch for more information about holistic medicine and if you think I can help you!
